Natural weathering of olivine can eliminate some CO2 from the atmosphere. Enhanced weathering by grinding olivine and spread over land surfaces and coasts may increase the weathering rate.
My research on the magnesite deposits in Venezuela as well as other published research shows that serpentinite is a better option. There are very few magnesite deposits associated with unaltered ultramafics, but many more that are a result of low temperature interaction of water, CO2 and olivine (Lizardite and antigorite).
