Our institutions as well as those who decide the programs of the different subjects in our education systems always impose a type or several types of obligatory evaluations. Do you think that these evaluations do more harm than good?

Evaluation is a necessity to check students' level of performance. So , in all different types whether traditional or alternative assessment, they play major role in teaching process.

Hello Litart,
The most central part of curriculum design is the evaluation component. Through assessment and evaluation, both teachers and students receive feedback on the effectiveness of the targeted course and/or program outcomes (Nation & Macalister, 2010). Clearly, the evaluation process involves data collection based on which we make decisions about different stakeholders (e.g., students, teachers, etc.) . As such, we can say that evaluation is the indispensable part of any curriculum without which we would be just like blind people groping in the dark.
