I perceived that rural community members with ample experience tend to participate on various agricultural development activities than educated one (who are searching for other employment opportunities)
In general, education—as a critical component of a country’s human capital—increases the efficiency of each individual worker and helps economies to move up the value chain beyond manual tasks or simple production processes (WEF 2016). Human capital has long been considered the most distinctive feature of the economic system and further work have proven the impact of education on productivity growth empirically
Education comes both in formal and informal ways. We have to have some form of knowledge on whatever we want to do. I think here you are asking about the formal one. Education has always a “positive impact” on the individual’s life in many ways. However, since life is integrated, education alone may not have that much impact if there is no peace, good governance and other necessary aspects of life.
Abdifetah Mohamed - makes a great point. in our work, it isn't formal education, but cracking cell phones to use in business gives rural agricultural producers a boost.
Being educated helps to reach one step ahead than non-educated. There is difference in the working and living habit of educated and non-educated person. Economically, as the per capita increases, the GDP of the country. Contributions of an educated person to the country are in many forms. A country with high Human Development Index shows the sign of positive economic development. Thus, education is important for all in the world.
Yes dear Mengistu. Education always plying important role in overall development of a country; where economic development is one of the prime indicator. Education means perfection of mind and in modern time education is divided into two types; formal and informal. Most of the farmers of rural areas are educted about agriculture and their livelihood through informal mode; even in present day many of formal educated youths also trusted their interest to the agriculture sector. So from my view point illiteracy and uneducableness is not same thing. Illiterate means he or she is not trained through formal channel; but trained through homey and societal habits. Although formal educated person are more capable and intelligent then others. So it is right to say education is always positive impact on economic development and formal education always rore impacted than informal education.
Education widens one's horizon of knowledge for proper identification of opportunities. It helps pave way for new processes etc. Hence, it is a veritable tool for economic development
In general, education enables migration from rural to urban areas. Education benefits people, not necessarily places. Education to stay home or come home is one of the failures of rural development.
Education can be both positive effects and negative for the economy. The positive effect is with a country of 80% literacy the economy will be boosted due to the exposure to how people can use technology to access their needs. e.g. Instead of queuing up in line to apply for a land title or deeds a person can use his computer or phone to do so and he will receive his response through email, so it's always fast on doing business, schoolwork, and so on. The negative effect education causes rots to the country whereby educated once speedup their professionals just to benefit themselves and neglect the poor.
yes rural community members may have a good experience but education can help to be more effiecent and dynamic, research-oriented to face and manage environment and market risk
