one year age and COVID-19 was the main subject that distracts the human minds. before few days, a vaccine was completing its trial experiment to be used in prevention among human beings. do you think it is the end of this disease?
Dear all, it is a vaccine and not a cure, i.e., it lasts for a certain period of time after which a re-vaccination is necessary. As a result covid-19 will stay as do the other viruses such as the flu one. My Regards
Even if vaccination programs effective ly end the pandemic in some wealthier nations ,the virus itself could linger, widespread in poorer_countries not only posing a risk to the millions living in these nations, but also allowing the possibility of continued spread els where . So l think it takes longer time to completely disappear .

Vaccines are fundamental. But you can't imagine totally eradicating the virus. The case of smallpox seems unique to date. It is the only infectious disease declared extinct by the WHO, because we have been lucky enough to have a vaccine that acts on a part of the virus that does not mutate or only slightly. But we don't know this in advance. For influenza, the vaccine is more or less effective every year. So this virus may well be added to the list of endemic viruses circulating in our communities, and may never completely disappear even after the vaccine.
