Super-bags have been a resultant of use of available antibiotics without careful consideration in both human and veterinarian medicine. However, use of antibiotic require that one acquires a suspected, treatable infection and that raises the importance of prevention. Vaccines can play a critical role in this aspect. With the discovery of advanced methods to select antigen targets for vaccine development i.e. reverse vaccinology, scientist may be able to select viable targets against super-bags and other bacteria to develop vaccines against. In the mean time, rational use of antibiotics, enhanced efforts in antibiotics discovery (which we have slacked in my opinion) and smart use of available technology like reverse vaccinology, we can win this battle. I am interested to hear what others think of this approach.

Ir rationale use of antibiotics is the major reason behind the emergence of SUPERBUG, such rampant use of antibiotics has led to the development of drug resistance among microorganisms and increased the complexity of treatment procedures. So first of all we need to stop this habit secondly we can find novel leads of herbal origin to mitigate such stubborn microbes.

I agree with your concern and to the response. It is indeed a global concern, since the resistant organisms/genes are travelling across the globe with peoples. It has been long since drug resistance become multisectorial threat. We need to be ready, we need multi option/plan to deal with it.

Vaccine may not work in all cases. Say for instance, the Genus Salmonella includes more than 2700 species so far I know. How an effective vaccine can be made against all of them if resistance Gene transfer continues?

As per Malthus, our planet Earth can bear maximum 300 crores of people. We are almost already attained double figure of about 600 crores.

So EXTRA 300 crores of people may have to face ultimate fate !

SUPERBUGS are the bacteria which are resistant to all available antibiotics. The resistance spread through one bacterium to anther and many reports of death due to infection of such SUPER bacteria has already been published. The responsible genes are spreading at a great speed among bacteria and we have no medicine to control them.
