Hi guys,
this is my first time to use Trinity. I used lsf to submit my task to a remote sever. It's has been almost 48hours yet trinity is still in '[bam_sort_core] merging from 13 files...'. I checked the status which showed my task was running but it seemed trinity was sleeping.... I attached the log for your inspection. Any idea is welcome!

You can/should open a process manager to see how much memory & other resources are being used. If trinity went into swap space it could take a very long time to complete.
Most linux systems have "top" pre-installed, and most linux GUI's have something or another installed which will show you running processes/cpu and memory use.

It will take time for big datasets.
In this task kmer generation is very time consuming step.
Hope that at this moment your analysis is completed. It took about 2 weeks for me to complete my analysis
