The largest sea-level decline was witnessed during the last glacial period some 20,000 years ago, the water level dipped to about 121 metres. Bust since last few decades sea level rise and climate change has become buzz words. The scientific community is looking for the appropriate measures to fix or reduce the intensity of the problem.
Noone is responsible. If humans have the freedom to mess nature up, then that freedom had been given to humans by nature itself. So no one is responsible. Man might still be perfect, nature is always incomplete and imperfect. It's time to colonize Mars.

There are several published scientific works that prove human interference in planetary environmental issues.
Yes humans are responsible for the observed climate change effects including sea level rise. In particular their insensitive activities towards nature and natural resources have caused nature to respond with the observed climate change effects.
Global warming is the phenomenon of increasing average oceanic and atmospheric temperatures, due to excessive greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions exceed the absorption capacity of the oceans and the biosphere and increase the greenhouse effect, which traps heat on the earth's surface. The term “global warming” more commonly designates the global warming observed since the beginning of the 20th century, while the term “climate change” rather designates the episodes of warming or cooling of natural origin which occurred before the industrial era.
In view of all this, I therefore think that humans, being already responsible for deforestation, pollution in all its senses and the emission of greenhouse gases, are also responsible for raising the level of sea, climate change; even if there’s no change in Earth’s orbit now, maybe soon.
The changes in the earth's orbit are explained by the Milankovitch cycle and its role in climate change, this contribution is small when compared with the effect caused by anthropogenic factors brought about the industrial revolution.

I agree with Charles Addey and Ben Boubakary Moreso, the rising sea levels and climate change are caused not only by human activities but also by the increasing population demand which lead to migration, urbanization leading to urban sprawl, land reclamation, and other environmental stresses.
Climate Change is among topics of concern these days and reflects change in climate as discernible by varying changes in climatic properties/systems for relatively longer time periods. One must understand the difference between climate change and climate variability, the latter being for a shorter period say extreme high heat wave or rainfall and the former heading for longer changes in temperatures, rainfall patterns etc. for a sustained longer/extended periods. Incoming solar radiation and changes in its intensity for longer periods cause for climate change as natural causes on one hand. Similarly, factors such as emission of greenhouse gases, changing patterns of landuse landcover especially in dense urban environments etc. are the causes for which on doubt man is responsible and is a known fact as well.

Apparent small changes in eustatic sea level over time are largely based on fundamental misunderstandings. They result from:
1) Local tide models based on an original panoply of sea level measurements that exceeded the precision of the interpreted changes. Those local tide models were based on historical measurements at designated tide stations that failed to take account of natural sea level variations due to wind, waves, atmospheric pressure, adjacent seabed slope changes and coast shape configurations. Therefore those local tide models used average values that do not improve the precision of assumed absolute sea level measurements at designated times.
2) The Earth's crust is itself subject to diurnal tide forces because the centre of gravity of the Earth - Moon system lies some distance beneath the Earth's surface. Therefore tide models that are not based on measurements ultimately derived from the same universal standard geoid are fundamentally imprecise.
3) The level of the Earth's crust also responds to changes in level due to erosion, sediment transport and deposition, quite apart from the effects of ice melting and augmenting eustatic sea level. Local tide models ignore those factors.
4) The evidence put forward to support 120m fall in sea level during the last ice age is extremely dubious as it comes from places close to active subduction zones.
It may be concluded that purported changes in eustatic sea level that do not exceed one metre can safely be ignored for planning purposes.

the answer is associated with man-made GHG emissions, the more we emit the more sea level rise. The IPCC reports clearly show this correlation.
Human impact is very little if you consider the phenomena on geological time scale, it might have partial or triggering effects but natures / universe processes are two big and impacting more
Sea level rises because the volume of the oceans expand as a result of two factors:
1. increase of ocean water volume as water temperature rises;
2. addition of water volume resulting from the melting of ice in glaciers located on land (Greenland, Antartica, etc.);
No debates there. The remaining question is why is temperature rising ? The extremely rapid temperature rise compared to previous geological time 's rises suggests it is caused by the human industrial revolution and fossil fuels used in every aspect of industry which emits GHG that produce a grren house effect arond the earth.
Rising water levels is due to mealting ice caps and that is because of rising temperatures. We play a hand in those rising temperatures.
On the one hand,human-being has been living for very short time(like a second) in compare to earth life duration.There should be a large amount of information(exact data) to clarify what happen exactly.There are lots of methods to estimation, but all of them have errors,maybe it is a cycle.
On the other hand human can play significant role about this issue,there are large number of signs that confirm this point,such as sharp increasing temperature which started around 70 years ago because of industrialization.
From my point of view,there should be more research about this issue to illustrate what happen exactly for sea level.
Humans have a hand in the destruction of our world but we can also turn back the clock.
