The book of course. You hold it in your hand. The computer emits some light and possibly radiation and makes you tired.

Do you prefer reading through the book or through the computer?

For me depends on the environment & purpose. When the environment is non-conducive to use computer for reading e.g. inadequate power supply, in moving train & standing posture, reading for leisure time etc., I prefer hard copy book to computer. Also if my purpose of reading requires me to refer back & forth through search / find function, I prefer computer to hard copy book.

Generally I prefer reading by book. Perhaps I have used to it since my childhood. But sometime if hard copy of any book is not available then surely i read it through computer.

I prefer reading through the book. Reading through computer strains eyes as it emits radiations.

I prefer reading books than using computers and I cannot stand reading books digitally. I fell stressed and my eyes easily get tired by the light, emitted from your screen. Books and e-readers are much more comfortable to read.

I prefer both depending on the situations.

I prefer reading through the computers as I used to.

in my opinion, times are changing and technology advancing, I believe we would get a different opinion from the current generation. I prefer to read through my PC for convenience

e-books are easy to read

I prefer to read through books comparatively.

Kindle books are my favourite because I can mark things, add notes, highlight certain passages and easily search for them using a keyword for example... this can be quite tedious with physical books if you are using large books and a big number of them

I prefer to read hard copy for critical reading. When I just need to scan through. I prefer to read computer. In my opinion, the purpose and place matters. For example, When I travel I prefer to read hard copy books.

Usually, old books are available in a concrete form and are not available electronically, can be obtained from libraries of town.

Modern scientific books have very limited need, used by specialists only so it is preferred to see them through the computer, and may be expensive if obtained ...

I do both

But as on today PC is in front of me. ... more easy to access literature on line rather than going to library and getting a book for reading

Reading enters with us under various norms some way prefer as a study other may consider as an hobby some may consider the same as passing time with this if reading is a subject matter for the study ,interest , pleasure , in this case it is desirable that reading through book serves the purpose of our aim instead of going through the computer .

Through book because it is visible and reading books is more sustainble in my head than computer. But if there is a chance of waste of paper, I prefer computer.
