I have learnt about cloud seeding for rain, but not about fog water collection. However, on LinkedIn I came across a similar post of a scientist belonging to a company which produces water from air and claims its successful operation in certain Gulf countries. I raised the question of increasing surface temperature as atmospheric moisture absorbs much of incoming solar radiation. His answer was satisfactory that water extracted not only returns into the water cycle, meanwhile moisture extracted is replaced by nearby atmospheric area.
Thank you for your effort. I have go through some of the link. Actually I want to work on cloud water chemistry/fog water chemistry. Water harvesting is not a part of my research.
Hi Mohammad Firoz Khan
I have go through some paper where they use fog collector and cloud water collector also. Can you give me some idea how the machine distinguish between cloud and fog?
Hi Mogaraju
I will get back to you after consulting my guide.
@ all
I am looking for a collector type instrument (like rain collector) that can trap cloud/fog droplet.
