Having difficulties getting a good signal for bacterial spore lysate western blots to detect mCherry fusions. I have used RF5R monoclonal anti-RFP from Pierce with little success. It gives me non specific binding and lots of background.The mCherry fusions are chromosomally based, not on replicating plasmids so the quantity is very low.
