Do you know of a mesh based micro structure representation algorithm?

I wish to represent physical phase boundaries in a porous structure on a mesh. It seems to be quite simple to get a porous structure with the desired porosity by mere random allocation of solid and fluid phases in different cells. But, is anyone aware of papers in which both the desired porosity and permeability can be simultaneously accounted for?

Short unswer is no. Connection between the geometry of a porous structure and permeability is in general a complicated unsolved problem. There are some partial not universal answers in form of semi empirical formulas as Kozeni Carman formulas
