I´m performing some adhesion assays in bronquial epithelial cells and I am aiming to do some proteomic analysis in the bacteria after adhesion. The main problem has been: How to separate the bacteria from the cellular monolayer?

which bacteria are you working with? Many bacteria will be attached to the cell surface only but some will get internalised which can create problem in separation.

Do you think that filtration procidures could disturb the surface protein profile of the bacteria?
Dear Maiti,
The incubation time that I am using only allow the adherence of the bacteria. It is not enough time for the occurence of cellular invasion.
