I cannot find anything for this kind of repetition in children.

I was wondering if this phenomenon could be observed in autistic children as well.
Not just children on the autism spectrum, but bilingual individuals may repeat the same utterance or the same word in a code mixed, code switched exchange. This has been documented as having the pragmatic function of emphasizing, clarifying, and adding redundancy to make sure that the perlocutionary effect is realized.
