Hi guys! I'm trying to perform a live cell imaging protocol and i need to stain actin filaments or microtubules (using living and unfixed cells, of course). So, do you know any cell permeable actin or microtubules stain?
There's SiR (far red) labeled jasplakinolide that is claimed to be cell permeant. Never used it personally, but here's a link to a company that cells it. There is an original publication about it somewhere you can find.
Same here. Haven't used personally but the one that Christopher is suggesting, I would probably consider it as it is from cytoskeleton. It is a reliable source.
Ruby Peters, transfection seems too complicate to me, i'm looking for something more simple. I think I'll try the SiR stain suggested by Christopher B O'Connell and Mayank Chugh . Thank you very much for your help!
Hello there, I just wanted to add that I used both SiR-actin and SiR-tubulin dyes for live cell imaging and they work great. Don't hesitate to ask for any questions regarding their use.
