I am interested in examining the relationship between "organizational trust" and "organizational information security culture". In specific, I would like to examine whether higher level of intra-organizational trust among public sector employees may lead to lesser adoption of "organizational information security culture". Do you know a study which has examined the relationship between the two?

As Dr. Jaatun mentions above, my team and I have been very interested in this topic for some time. So much so, that we have created the yardstick of culture: https://get.clt.re - a metrics tool to measure information security culture in organizations. Since the launch in December 2015, more then 10 000 employees in the bank and finance sector has been surveyed on security culture.
Our mission is to improve security culture by understanding the culture side of things. We cooperate with research facilities in Europe and the USA, and I will welcome a discussion with you and your affiliation to look into potentially sharing our data.
We have yet to survey the public sector, but interest in our tool is growing also there.
Our metrics is on seven dimensions of culture: communication, cognition, behaviours, norms, compliance, attitudes and responsibilities.
We do not look at trust per see, but you may be able to infer trust from the dimensions?
