I have to study and review more literature but found that very few researchers who work on pure electric bus

Unfortunately I cannot suggest you any article for bus routing problems since it is not my expertise area. However, I can suggest you some research about battery-electric transit bus studies that consider different driving cycles, electricity consumption mixes in the U.S. I think it is important to define driving cycle and fuel consumption specifications for battery-electric transit buses before optimizing routes.
Therefore, there is one article that optimizes the fleet operation impacts for different fuel types including battery-electric and more ("Ercan, T., Zhao, Y., Tatari, O., & Pazour, J. A. (2015); Optimization of transit bus fleet's life cycle assessment impacts with alternative fuel options. Energy, 93, 323-334"). And there is also another article that presents life-cycle assessment analysis results for battery-electric transit buses ("Ercan, T., & Tatari, O. (2015).
