Do you ever tried highly recalcitrant macroalgaes with anaerobic digestion?

I am trying to find a pretreatment to make highly recalcitrant Sargassum spp. macroalgae from Mexican Caribbean more susceptible to anaerobic digestion. If you have any experience with this type of substrate I would be very pleased to learn about it. Attached I send its characteristics.
