The teaching profession heavily relies on teachers' declarative and procedural scope of knowledge on the subject matter they teach. However, teaching is not simply the transmission of knowledge from an expert to a novice. In point of fact, great teachers need to inspire their learners and the act is very much dependent on the art of a teacher in igniting the the imaginative powers of the learners in order to help them to learn the merits of self directed , self regulated learning.
Drawing and painting was not my favorite activity in this life. But to tell something about arts and aesthetics would be possible. I don't know wether this is sufficient to become a teacher of arts.
hi. teaching is a blend of art and science. regarding the knowledge of techniques, methods and activities. it is science with declarative knowledge. but teaching is related to some kind of innovative strategies applied by teachers to use the declarative knowledge and implement it differently in her/his special context. devising tasks and activities based on knowledge needs creativity and innovation like artistic work. best
