Parties seek more money from the taxpayer but there will always be tight constraints on this source of funding. The obvious source of big money is rich donors and corporations. But such donors are not usually motivated by generosity. They want to see a return.
Political parties in a number of countries now accept large donations on the condition that the donor can be identified. Some have also banned donations from abroad. For officials who are tempted to evade rules on party funding the current punishments hardly act as disincentive.

Politics is the shadow of big business, to cite J.Dewey. All those involved, want to cut a piece of the cake. Policy-making is opaque, and easier jobs go to those, who confirm the status quo. Just study anthropology and you will find a more precise answer; or: go into a zoo and look like animals share meals.
To believe or not to believe in "Political Transparency" is a choice people will have to make based on their understanding of politics and what political transparency means as well as measures that have been put in place to ensure what will be termed as political transparency.

I don't - because politics are about people competing for powers & resources in which it can turn up to be dirty & brutal. However, came across some politicians started off with political transparency but ended up into political obscurity.
I believe that, ‘transparency’ as a concept can be seen different across cultures. Therefore, we need to define it at first. A Nordic style political transparency requires Nordic style people, culture, press, system etc. Although transparency is a necessity of good governance nowadays, too much transparency can lead to unintended consequences.
Transparency is classified as one of the most important foundations of anti-corruption, and it is the first condition for any real attempt to fight it. You can not say that you fight corruption and you are not transparent in figures, data, information and general indicators

I do not think there is political transparency in the past, present and future, politics is hypocrisy and the predominance of interests.

ALL people in different corners of the world like political transparency. It is something interesting. But is it available in all societies. I doubt this. Many countries boast of their democracy but in reality it doesn't exist. Alot of facts are hidden and only corrupted political leaders know about them.

But it is quite unfortunate to say that these things doesn't exist in the present scenario, as there is no provision by which we can hold the public officials accountable. There approach is not objective. Subjectivity is prevelent everywhere.
Political transparency is a good idea for the common masses but due to Hippocratic approaches it isn't seen anywhere. We do believe in political transparency not as an idea but as practice.

There's no form of transparency in politics. They make lots of promises before the election, and when sworn into the office, they do the opposite of their promises.

In my opinion, there is no such thing as political transparency. Unfortunately, politics is a dirty game. One of its most important conditions is the lack of transparency, the art of manipulating words and pursuing interests. The best possible word about politics is: There is no friend or permanent enemy in politics.
