Soil and water conservation measures are not only control soil erosion but same time allowing water to infiltrate and recharge ground water. Basic principle of these measure is water should not run in field it should walk . These measures also improve moisture availability to the vegetation and ultimate turn in more production of crop / horticulture/ forestry system etc. which improve livelihood of the community. Certainly these measures also not allowing to nutrient rich soil go out of field.
