The particle is not in two possitions at once. It merely has a probablility to be at

position 1 or position 2, or equally likely to be in any position. The answer to where it is is obtained after measurement.

The associated wave function or amplitude is not a physical entity, only a probability

amplitude according to the Born rule.

The very real entity is the wave function, which depending on the Hilbert space basis you use for it are the obervables you get, if you choose position-momentum, the particle's wave function is not only in two posisions at the same time, but in every where at once. If it was other way no interference pattern would occur in double slit Young's experiment.

Of course, because in other basis not being position-momentum space-time it self  is no sense.
