In an interesting development for health supplements, a company has developed a test to allow people to decide if supplements may be improving their health. The company has produced a measuring tool that applies Resonance Raman Spectroscopy to give a “Skin Carotenoid Score (SCS)” as evidence of carotenoid antioxidant activity levels. What do researchers think about this development, the Raman test and using skin carotenoids to track medically –relevant levels of antioxidants?
