I am writing a book on social pedagogy and social justice. I believe it is justifiable to regard some moral statements as irrefutably correct; transcendental, if you will. Such statements operate in a different way to objective scientific claims, such as the laws of gravitation. By way of example, I believe that the statement, Killing a person because she or he is black is wrong, is an objective moral statement.
