The disappearing of minority languages is not a problem with China alone, I suppose. It is possibly the natural part of language evolution as a whole. While the government is trying to promote the use of Putonghua, there are also measures being taken to protect those languages in danger.
Thanks for the answer Jiegen. Indeed disappearance of minority languages is a global problem. This question could of course be widdened to the United States, Russian Federation or any country with minority languages. I would be thankful if you could colloborate on the measures taken by the government of China in order to protect the minority languages.
You're welcome, Sir. By the way, what do you mean by "colloborate on", "collaborate on" or "elaborate on"? If it means the former, my reply is I'd like to be part of the protective campaign by the government. If it means the latter, I need to study some literature related :).
Unfortunately I don't know Chinese. I would be very thankful if you could be kind enough to inform us about what sort of measures are taken by the government to stop language lost or prevent minority languages from dying.
