Hello. I've been writing a review about nanomaterials. I wrote so many articles. However, This is the first time I have written a review and I dont know that do I have to get permission from autors or editors of the journals to take their photograps or tables for my review. Are there anyone else to help me about this issue? Thank you.
Yes you should be getting the permission to share the images, tables from the already published articles, even if it is your own article. Usually the permission is obtained from the publisher and most of the time its an online procedure. Usually you will find a link to "rights & permission" on the page of the article (check the image I have attached).. click that, and there will few more inputs you have to give, and atlast it will give you a confirmation slip with a number. Most of the time, for using images and tables in a review article it should be free.
Yes as Arun said, you should go to the article page on the publisher website. Usually you got an automated response with permission. In most cases this will be free and easy process, but in few cases I met you are asked to pay certain fee. Good luck
