I plan to investigate the role of AQP3 in expression of the tight junction protiens (Claudin-1, Claudin-3 and Zo-1 ) and membrane integrity as a parameter of transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) using Ussing Chambers. Do you think HT 29 is a good cell line for these experiments?

HT29 and DLD1 cell lines are good models to utilize for membrane permeability/integrity assays. These cells were also used for drug targeting and EMT studies. There are good number of publications to support that these cells express the Tight Junction and Adherent junction proteins.
