Do genes work under control of brain or they work independently? I mean can the gaining signals of environment through brain affect on the behavior of genes or not? If yes, how?
Genes mostly work independently from the brain. Genes start working since the union of a human egg and sperm and then undergo a complex sequential regulatory scheme to build up the full mature organism. At these early stages, there is no brain to govern gene function! Similarly, in the mature organism, genes are under the control of regulatory networks that are mostly independent from the brain. Stil in some occasions, the brain may modulate gene expression, e.g. stress.
Thank you for your complete answer. However, genes can improve themselves through mutation based on evolutionary theory. For instance, in different sorts of animals they can adapt themselves with the environment or they can deal with their enemies via some changes in their genes. So, for changing the behavior of genes, it seems that they need to some interactions with brain which has different sensors to gain various information from environment. Do you think this statement is correct?
