Hi, I was going through some papers, and I was wondering whether I could say that events like earthquakes might lead to a more homogeneous underwater habitat than before the earthquake itself. For instance, underwater slips can lead to homogeneous sediment deposition on an impacted area? Do you have any paper suggestion supporting this idea?

During earthquakes, countless and significant violations of the landscape environment (and, of course, the biosphere) can not but lead to violations of environmental conditions in these and adjacent areas. More important and easily detected are expressed in the elimination of vegetation cover, animal habitats (and immediately their own, as well as people), in violations of normal habitats and land migration routes, changes in aquarezhim, redistribution of aquasapaces, deterioration of the properties of forage lands, etc.
In a short note*, I mused with the idea (not mine originally, although I could not trace a scientific origin) that earthquakes induce mixture (homogenization of water masses in the ocean, which could disorient mesopelagic fishes and explain why many strandings of oarfish (Regalecus spp.) have been reported just after a quake.

Juan J Schmitter-Soto the more I read about specific effects of earthquakes, especially in coastal environments (this is my research topic) the more I think that this is definitely a short term effect on these areas.. I don't feel confident to report this thought while writing, without some supporting papers. I see in the short note that one of the reference might be helpful for me, thanks
