Here in Brazil banks finance anything, varying the rate according to the risk of the project. There are laws to foment in the rural area among others specific for some types of financing. The most important would be in fact your business plan and your credit score. Also worthy of note is the Development Bank - BNDES, which promotes various investment projects.

Russian case: project financing (mainly by state owned, TBTF banks) of environment-friendly projects in energy (solar and wind energy projects), infrastructure projects (real and commercial estate), yet the scale and amounts are small and limited due to high costs and very long projects payback.

Some banks conducting an analysis of the creditworthiness of an enterprise applying for a long-term investment or mortgage loan take into account the issues of climate change, if these changes may affect the business profitability of a specific lending business venture. For example, in the case of a hotel application for a long-term investment loan operating on the sea, the level of which can rise and flood the hotel area.

Another example is a hotel located in the mountains, where winter sports tourists come. Climate change predictions may indicate that 10 years of snow will no longer be the place where this hotel in the mountains provides its services. Therefore, the bank may not grant credit due to the forecasted secondary effects of progressive climate changes and, above all, the rising average temperature.

On the other hand, companies are developing which produce components for new power plants producing electricity as part of renewable energy sources, produce electric car equipment components, e.g. electric motors, batteries, etc. More and more innovative startups are being produced as part of cooperation with large enterprises and renewable energy plants Wind turbine type subassemblies, charging devices for electric cars, etc. Other companies manufacture packaging from recycled materials, recycled or from biodegradable materials.

Other companies are developing innovative solutions for automatic sorting of rubbish. If eco-friendly products become popular and the state creates good institutional, legal and financial conditions for the development of such projects, then the process of implementing sustainable green economy based on the green economy concept will be implemented more quickly and business probes will become more and more profitable. Financial institutions, including banks, will gradually take into consideration eco-friendly processes and business activities of clients in concluded financial transactions.

Dear Colleagues and Friends from RG, On the basis of the above considerations and conclusions from the discussion on interesting issues discussed, I formulated the following thesis that in some countries some commercial banks are starting to take into account the issues of ecology and the potential impact of climate change on the economic processes of enterprises that are their clients. The effect is, for example, a modification of the credit policy, which takes into account the prospective, long-term, future impacts of climate change, i.e. the global warming process on credit businesses. In this way, a new type of credit policy is created that takes into account the problems of ecology, i.e. environmentally friendly credit policy. In addition, ecology issues appear in campaigns promoting the bank as an element of marketing, improving the image of the bank, which in this way promotes itself as an institution that cares for ecology, an institution concerned with the negative effects of the development of civilization on the natural environment, as a pro-social institution.

In the context of the above considerations, the following key questions arise:

- Are there banks in your countries that are already developing an environmentally friendly credit policy?

- What kind of advertising campaigns do banks raise environmental issues in?

- Apart from the World Bank, what banks allocate significant financial resources to providing financial support in the implementation of large pro-ecological investment projects?
