i believe they are not very impressive for pecvd DLC.

but there are plenty of DLC's types.. i can not guarantee that taC is for example a good applicaton for that.

hot forging tool coatings are still challenging. or is my knowledge outdated?

I was participied in a forging congress the last year. I hear many times during this congrees that DLC coating is the best to extend the live of forging dies, but there are wasnt works that quantify this. Only words.
