Diving Into Research: Exploring Language, Identity & Belonging:

As I move deeper into my graduate studies, I'm excited to share that my current research focus explores evidence-based strategies for supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners through a lens of inclusion, identity, and intercultural understanding.

My questions are big and real: How can we create classrooms where multilingual students feel seen, valued, and empowered? What instructional practices truly help bridge linguistic and cultural gaps? How do language and identity intersect in the everyday learning experience?

I'm particularly interested in: • The SIOP model in diverse classrooms • Visual and scaffolded supports for academic writing • Culturally responsive pedagogy • Ukrainian-Canadian newcomer perspectives (my lived experience)

This is just the beginning — and I’d love to connect with others doing related work in education, linguistics, EAL/ESL, newcomer support, or inclusive curriculum design.
