Acting as a principal Guest Editor of the Special Issue entitled "Digital Twinning: Trends Challenging the Future" in the open-access journal Electronics (ISSN 2079-9292; CODEN: ELECGJ, IF 2.6) (link: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/electronics/special_issues/V9ETBFOHH1), I would like to start a discussion on the addressed topic.

The majority of domain-related published research articles address Digital Twin's future trends, focusing on methodology, technology, simulation, security, data curation, and the variety of technology-prone challenges. A problem-domain future trends elaboration is lacking.

The secondary mission of this initiative is to encourage all domain-related researchers to consider preparing proposals for publication in the newly launched Special Issue.
