Dear experts,

For a certain reason I want to make Chevreuls salt from a 'start solution mix' as concentrated as possible.

Literature describes mixing a solution of CuSO4 x 5H2O with a solution of K2S2O5 i(in proper relations), adjusting the pH at around 4 and boil - after which procedure the Chevreuls salt precipitates.the easily soluble K2S2O5 I am not happy with the solubility of CuSO4 in H2O.

This said I would like to ask if anybody has experience with replacing the sulfate by e. g. copper nitrate or copper chloride, which are better soluble.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your ideas
