While looking many papers, I have found y-Axis in '0 - 3000' range of number of pixels, that is very easy to understand. But, some others specified that '0- 1.2' range. Certainly i confused because thay mentioned that different names like number of pixels , frequency..Pls anyone clarify which one is correct? after segmenting the image.

If the y-Axis in '0-3000' range, it is probably the count of pixels which fall in to any of the bins. The term 'frequency' also can be used in that case because, number of pixels means the how frequent the bin found in the image.
If the values in y-Axis are divided by the total number of pixels, then it is called probability of bins in the histogram. The range should be definitely between '0 - x' where x
