Hello together,

I am working on concrete direct shear Tests, where i apply loadsteps of a prescribed Deformation (left deformation). Since i can only apply a Deformation with a support inplace i have the Question, if i can model this somehow while exluding Tension stress in the supports/Elements near the supports. Because i Always get Tension stresses in the upper part of my displaced topside. This makes sense if i have fully connected Supports, but i only want to apply a compression deformation and therefore in my understanding, there should be (in reality) no tension in the SXX direction, if i don’t have any connected supports. I already tried a No Connection IF between the shape and the supports, but that didn’t work. I Played around with Boundary Elements but that didn’t help either.

Do you have any suggestions to negate Tension stresses/forces ?
