Does diabetic patients need to control their blood sugar before taking COVID-19 vaccine or patients with very high blood sugar can take COVID-19 vaccine safely ?
there is no indication to control blood sugar before vaccination and there is no contraindication if blood sugar is high
Diabetic patients need optimal control of blood sugar at all times. The stress of an infection will cause hyperglycemia in itself. Thus, a diabetic patient who is out of control will become complicated and should not be vaccinated until under optimal control
