I want to create a slurry with a powder, dispersant, and an additive.
I want a desired vol % of powder in the slurry (lets say 30%). I also want to the additive to be 2 wt% of the powder.
The density of the powder, dispersant, and additive are all known. How can I calculate the parts needed?
The issue I run into is when adding the additive. The additive adds volume which dilutes the vol % of the powder and I run into a loop in my calculation.

In the chemical calculations, the volume of the solution is equal to the volume of the solvent only supposing that the volume of the solvent doesn't change when the solute is dissolved.
In your case, all the additives will be dissolved.
