Drip irrigation might be best as per your requirement. But, the initial installation of the drip irrigation system might be quite expensive as compared to other systems. However, in comparison to the cost of water in that region, drip irrigation might be economic in the long run if the installation is done properly and high-value crops are planted accordingly.

Moisture sensor-based drip irrigation is most suitable for irrigating crops in desert areas.

Mulching should be done for conserving moisture, which also helps in weed management too.
