I have a glass substrate which is partially covered with ITO, partially covered with Au thin layer and the rest is a bare glass. On top of all this I need to evaporate a second layer of Au. For good adhesion to the glass I need to add a 1nm layer of Cr. But it means that the Cr will be also deposited on the ITO and on the first Au layer. Meaning that I'll get an ITO/Cr/Au or Au/Cr/Au electrodes. will it impair the conduction of this electrode?

A stack of metals or metal- like material such as the conductive oxides leads to lowering the sheet resistance as the stack gets thicker.
So, you can make this stack as a conductive electrode.
But you have to be aware that it will be opaque for light while the ITO or the TO are transparent to light. A metal layer will partially transparent to light when it is very thin.

The Cr is needs out of the fabrication necessity (adhesion of gold to the glass) and it is a very thin layer (1nm).
I hope it will not demege the conduction from ITO to the gold (ITO/Cr(1nm)/Au(30nm)) or from gold to gold (Au(30nm)/Cr(1nm)/Au(30nm)).
Sure, I'm putting the gold on ITO in parts that doesn't need to be transparent. The reason is that gold conduct much better than ITO so I want to reduce the distance of current flowing in the ITO.

What will you do with such electrodes? The stack of multi-layer metal or metal oxides do reduce the sheet resistance. Although the transparency is not an issue for your work, it could generate the other problem such as easily peeling off from the substrate or some interface adhension..
