As Chinese, I have tried Deepseek with academic and non-academic questions. I think, Deepseek is sofar nice. Especially because it is free of charge, but the data is updated till July, 2024. Anyone can give detailed comparision?
Well my question is since Copilot from Mikrosoft is also for free ... which one is better Deepseek or Copilot from Bing / Mikrosoft ? ... I had quite good results with copilot as here in this article Article 4 Questions to Bing's Online A.I. from Yogapsychologie.ch - ...
4 Questions to Bing's Online A.I. from Yogapsychologie.ch - How do the Anthropic Principle, the “Zoo Hypothesis”, the “Matrix Hypothesis” and the Just-six-numbers-fine-tuning-of-the-universe-Hypothesis fit with a Creator God?
ChatGPT is still unknown to me but Copilot from Bing / Mikrosoft surprised me positively also in 5 super difficult Questions I asked about Yogapsychology itself as here in this Ebook on page V and VI Book yogapsychologie
but it made a mistake by answering the 3thrd question, but this mistake is very common and made by many.
Certainly, the newest application is the most flexible, but research in the social sciences still has its privacy. Deepseek and ChatGP applications may be used in data calculations, and they cannot replace the natural researcher. Thank you.
Alexey Tsyb hope that applies for the future ... (The next thing the AI chat bots adopt are psychological tools and psychoanalysis with camera feedback and what are we then? Patients of Machine Man Existence Philosophy of the technocrat singularity fascism? :-)
Chris Früh Thanks for comment. Our Psycho-Specialist should not be manipulated by any form of technology. But in order to produce the papers to be published efficiently, more scholars use this kind of machines to produce the articles. In China, we say, the wordings in papers smell like GPT.
Nachef Ahmed If ChatGPT can do the work of SPSS, AMOS, R or SmartPLS or any kind of these statistics tools, no one has interesting to do the real research , to explore or explain the social phenomenon.
I've been comparing DeepSeek and ChatGPT for my social research.
In my experience, ChatGPT offers advanced features that make it really handy for deep, context-rich conversations and generating insightful ideas. Its ability to understand and refine responses as the discussion unfolds makes it a robust tool for research. On the other hand, DeepSeek is still pretty new; it’s open-source and free, and I really appreciate the team's effort in making it available. However, compared to ChatGPT, DeepSeek doesn’t have as many advanced functionalities, and I’ve noticed the server has been down a few times lately due to heavy load.
Despite these hiccups, I still value what DeepSeek brings to the table. Its data is updated until July 2024, and it has great potential for academic use once the technical issues are ironed out. I believe with further improvements and better scalability, DeepSeek could become a strong alternative for social research. Minhua Zhao
Muhammad Ehsan Thanks a lot for your detailed info. Yes, the data source of Deepseek is not up-to-date. Currently I use Kimi+ und Deepseek for texting generation and use AI video-maker to generate small clips of knowledge sharing. Hoping it can bring more for us.
Minhua Zhao Thank you for sharing your experience. I agree that even if DeepSeek’s data isn’t always up-to-date, it still helps us generate useful texts. I hope these tools keep improving and bring even more benefits for our research community.
