The Hitters database (DB) contains baseball data from the US professional league from the 1986 and 1987 seasons. The salary of a player is based on a number of characteristics of the player and performance in previous years. This DB is used by James et al. (*) to illustrate the topic of classification and regression using trees.
Question: Does anyone know of a similar DB with data for football players of the European or South American leagues? Could any colleague please send me the link? I would like to use it for similar work.
