I cultured Lactococcuc lactis subsp. lactis on M17 Media and obtained 6 x 106, 5 x 106 and 3 x 106 cfu/mL in three replicates. What should be the average value that I should use?
We we usually indicate microbiological counts to one decimal place, in your case it should be 4,7 x 106 cfu/ml. However, most often we use decimal logarithms - in your case 6,67 log cfu/ml.
The numbers in any starter was numbers approximation, It was effect more condition you can used spectrophotometerter method very best in bacteria count
Simply 4.6 x10E6 CFU/ml. But anyway, bear in mind that you speak of a log scale, meaning the actual differences among these three counts are not so high...
Thank you very much for your valuable answers. I have already submitted the revised manuscript to the editorial office today. It will be published soon and I will upload it as early as possible once it get published.
