I have been trying to reprodcue certain cyclic voltammetry results published in a researh article. In their experiments, they ha e attched an aluminum foil to the platinum disc electrode and used it as a working electrode. My query is how to attach the aluminium foil to a platinum disc electrode?

Aha, battery technologies, not my strongsuit. However, Al-foil could be electrodeposited on various working electrode materials, most commonly on glassy carbon electrodes. However, since the authors of the article you described did not provide the exact information, I have personally also no idea how they did it for Pt-disk electrodes. Hopefully someone else has an idea on how to attach it. Anyway, good luck, and sorry I couldn't help for this specific case.
