It is the first time that I will use BrCN reagent to form a triazole-2-amino ring. I'm worried about its toxicity and dealing with it. Is there any experience or advice regarding this reagent? Also, is there any safer alternative reagent?

Hello, I've got the same question. Links above don't provide many information.
The problem is how to safely weigh exact amount of the compound. From the fridge it is a solid chunk, quite hard to break.
Also I do not know how to clean glassware from it. Small amounts have strong odour which is hard to get rid of. I 've used conc. KOH solution but it doesn't help much.
