currently i am designing a cpw fed UWB antenna in hfss.while checking the boundary conditions warning shown in the below image occurred, can you please provide solution to this problem. I am attaching the hfss file please go through it.
This is a common problem with HFSS. I think, your wall, which you've decided perfect E2 and Radiation wall are overlapping or touching. so just because of two materials which are touching each other, cannot set for boundary condition. Separate both of them and one more thing, if you have selected ground as perfect E2, don't select that (ground) face while you're selecting face for radiation box. only you have to select top, and others left, right faces not bottom face.
There is a nice tool to create a box that enclose your simulated structure automatically (please see bellow). You an choose the spacing in all directions (should be at least a quarter wavelength). You can select it and assign its faces as radiation boundaries.
Smrity Dwivedi : madam i followed the instructions you suggested on this page but i am unable to produce the s-parameter result given in the attached pdf file, madam please go through paper. I have calculated the dimensions of the wave port by using the formulas mentioned in the hfss handbook, and took the radiation box size as equal to quarter wavelength calculated at 3 GHz.
