Yes, the importance of data digitization, advanced data processing, cloud computing, the development of ICT information technologies and Industry 4.0, innovation of telecommunications technologies and new internet media etc. are currently one of the key attributes of the knowledge-based economy, including based on growing resources knowledge. Already, the key to the business success of many business entities is not the collection and availability of large data sets, but their proper processing, e.g. using Big Data Science, Business Intelligence techniques and the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies and / or learning machines to improve intelligent search and processing specific information retrieved from large data set databases.

Thank you professor Di Francesco for these insights. Although the academic community believed (or, for some, start to believe) in the importance of using digital technology; especially the rush use during this pandemic, it was a deficient implementation. It was not deeply thought of and/or strategically planned. In this line comes also the global trend of using data as a trade commodity as clear and unavoidable development. As you mentioned in your book referred to above, exchanging big data must be characterized by accuracy and quality assurance. I would like to add here the need to provide other standards of great importance when it comes to the academic perspectives of the knowledge based economy and big data exchange those are: scientific honesty, information security and intellectual rights. In other words, the ethical standards should always remain there to govern data based interaction between academic and market institutions and individuals. We as knowledge guardians should never forget to keep up these, and other noble, standards in order to strategize for a rebalanced data economics. Thank you;

In fact, the spread of Corona’s disease has affected our lives in all its aspects. A number of us have invested their time well, especially by publishing their research in scientific platforms, and that education has become electronic, whether in schools or universities.

In fact, in ancient ages, wise men and women would for some time, take distance from the noise of the city, go to the mountains, or an island, and think.

Think to review their life, their actions and goals, and relationships, and come back knowing what they wanted to do with their life.

Lockdown made us think, evaluate, prioritize, and also appreciate.

It made us wiser.

That's my perception.

As someone trained in physics and maths, I see us as a particle bouncing back and forth in a small box, a particle associated with resonating waves. The human becoming similar to a L.A.S.E.R., light amplified through stimulated emitted radiation, due to a resonance of waves in a box (as music in a concert hall with harmonious acoustics), this box being called a klystron for lasers, a house or apartment for humans...

A wise man of Northern Africa, Augustin, philosopher, said you are never as free (of mind) as when you are in chains. This may be excessive, however, when freedom (of movement, in Lockdown) becomes scarse, what you do with it becomes even more important.

Losing freedom of movement we gained time, time for thoughts and for choosing what to think about.

This won't last forever, let us all use our "wisdom time" as long as we have it. The world outside will soon require us again, and we will have to face its noise and its crowds (although socially distanced for some time ahead).

Though most stock markets (and oil prices) have nosedived recently, the transitory effects will have prolonged impacts on economies and companies’ earnings because of Covid-19 pandemic and health crisis.

This is also evidenced by the fact that the Fed decreased very recently interest rates to zero levels and the markets keep nosediving. This is an indication that markets are already far sighting and factoring the long-term impacts of current world events because of Covid-19 pandemic and the resultant health crisis.

I am afraid, but current world events will have major impacts on countries and companies’ earnings, which will definitely led to many bankruptcies worldwide.

The recovery from the economic impact of the Covid-19 health crisis will take lot of efforts and prolonged period of time.

I believe there will be potential and key research studies on the financial regulatory ecosystem as related to the Covid-19 health crisis.

For instance, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) that coordinate financial rules and regulatory issues as related to the G-20 economies has issued lately reports to address the financial stability implications of Covid-19.

So true, data is the new oil. if you know what to mine, insights are all there.

We have used the available data for macro economic parameters, COVID19 data, stocks price and market.

Used techniques like nowcasting and DSGE, simulated different scenarios to stress test the impact of these variables and adverse conditions to quantify the possible impact for different business and sectors.

So yes, Data is everywhere, we have to be open to technology, new algorithms and mine it right to make it insightful.

Since Covid19 might still be with us probably until the summer of 2021, unfortunately, let me relaunch the discussion with what has been added in terms of key facts:

-second wave hitting hard

-vaccines likely to be available, but vaccination might take many months, and its effects a few more

-economic damage has been done, although its extent is not yet fully visible.

It is therefore more crucial than ever to get ready for the exit of the crisis:

-(i) digitise what can be digitised

*Education: some classes, one to one feeback sessions, etc

*Health Care: some remote consultation (although physical interaction and measurements may still be needed for crucial diagnosis/treatments)

*Work: not every taks may bypass the real worl interaction.

-(ii) use the relaunch packages (from EU, Members States of the EU, other national packages) wisely: make deep-green sustainability core, remove "greenwash", focus on structural improvements. This is the "New Deal of Roosevelt" revisited: this is for 2020 not for 1930. Hence leverages include:

*Automation,

*AI,

*Semiconductor integration in any sector (Manufacturing, Autonomous Transports, etc),

*online platform integration in any process (marketing, commercial, logistics, etc).

*switchover from atmospheric engine dominance to electric engine dominance
