Yes, high population density is the main reason behind rapid spread of COVID-19 in some states of India (e.g. Delhi and Mumbai), but mortality rate is low compared to United States and European countries.
Testing is good. Controlling the increasing numbers of cases is crucial and need a lot of social solidarity and collective efforts at all levels. Stay well!
