Coupling EnergyPlus and Python through Building Controls Virtual Test Bed (BCVTB) ?

Dear scholars,

I want to control an HVAC system implemented in EnergyPlus using data and python programming. So I need to couple python and EnergyPlus.

I'm using python instead of Matlab to reduce computation time.

Coupling BCVTB with Matlab Simulink is possible and you probably would say that I couple python through Matlab and BCVTB at the same time. But my concern is that it might increase computation time very much. (as computation time is the only reason I'm using python)

As I know, if you are master in python, you can use Honeybee(Grasshopper component) which has interaction with energy plus and open studio. The point is, you can do what ever you want there.
