I am looking for an interesting topic in the field of organizational behavior. I was thinking that the field of knowledge transfer and Succession Management could be a suitable and innovative field. Thanks for sharing your comments.

If you are interested in Succession Management, then maybe you can do a comparative study of a company that uses the traditional replacement planning and another that uses the acceleration pool. You might also what to look at the effect of variables such as talent development, support of top management, etc. on the perceived effectiveness of the succession planning program. In terms of knowledge transfer, the concern now is the use of digital technology in knowledge transfer due to the pandemic. What are the best practices in the industry you are in interms of transferring institutional memory. You could also check how individual memory and institutional memory is gathered to develop the knowledge bank of an organization. Just some thoughts.

Organization is a big word and can overwhelm a research project.
One research choice might be how large or small organizations do change. This can be whether they use a formal embedded project management process for change, or don't, and the results. Projects are how change gets done and use of the effective and efficient processes of project management for implementing change compared to a mixed or non-embedded approach may be a useful research approach with lots of references to draw upon. Both approaches reflect organizational behavior and may provide you a means to constrain the research to a manageable level.
