Hello! I have performed and analyzed LTP recordings with the software WinLTP, then I have made the normalization of the raw data on excel and I have used GraphPad Prism to plot and visualize the data.

I used Clampfit once and I think WinLTP is easier to use. You actually have the WinLTP Acquisition software for recordings and the WinLTP Reanalysis to analyse your data. WinLTP Acquisition already does an online analysis of the recordings, but sometimes you may need to adjust the parameters of the analysis (eg the detection interval) and you need WinLTP Reanalysis to do that. The issue here is that the Acquisition software is not open source, the Reanalysis yes.

Anyway, after using the Reanalysis part I still have to normalize the data on the baseline manually with Excel and then copy and paste my data in Graphpad (that automatically computes error bars).

All you need is Clampfit to measure the slopes, excel to normalize the time courses and excel again to bin the data in 2 minutes or whaterver minute bins you prefer and finally a decent graphing software like Originlab, graphpad, matlab…etc (or use excel instead if you don’t have access to one of these).
